Role Summary:
The topic of Cost of Ownership (CoO) is of key importance to the US market. The Cost of Ownership Specialist lead will be responsible for the holistic management of the topic including but not limited to data intelligence and analytics, identification of cost reduction measures, presenting and aligning across executives and topic areas leads in VWoA, VW NAR, and VW AG outreach and communication to guidebooks, identifying CoO targets for the product development process (PEP), reporting CoO data at critical PEP milestones, and defining VWoA's strategic approach to CoO for electric vehicles. Role Responsibilities: Main responsibility - 90 % of time spent- Track and analyze CoO data to understand VW's competitive CoO position and to define and execute measures to reduce CoO through close collaboration with stakeholders
- Challenge the accuracy of CoO data reported via data providers and guidebooks by acting as a liaison between the data provides/guidebooks through ongoing outreach and communication
- Drive communication with stakeholders in AG as well as in VWoA regarding PEP (product development process) milestone deliverables and deadlines
- Develop and submit consolidated CoO deliverables into the PEP process (e.g. targets, market requirements, and measures) at designated milestones
- Collaborate with sub-teams to identify targetsfor each CoO component and to drive PEP requirements and activities with sub-group leads
- Challenge stakeholders to think creatively to identify new strategies and measures to tackle CoO and establish methodologies to consistently address measure identification
- Define CoO methodology and approach for future electric vehicle portfolio and collaborate with key stakeholders to align said methodology/approach and update it as needed.
- Support the Product Strategy team in other strategic initiatives as deemed necessary.

- Bachelor Degree - required
- Consensus builder between various stakeholders at executive levels, within working groups, and across organizations (i.e. VWoA, VW NAR, VW AG, VCI)
- Ability to communicate across hierarchy and functional levels (i.e. Director and Vice President Level)
- Ability to identify tasks, develop methodologies and plans, and execute with minimal supervision
- Ability to develop comprehensive and persuasive business cases and presentations
- Influencing skills with subject matter experts, managers, and executives
- High quality and expedient delivery of work
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Project management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Tableau or other data visualization skills
- 20% domestic and international travel required
