We are seeking for a team player with solid technical skills to work with our team of smart, creative, and dedicated engineering team-members. This position is based out of our Herndon, VA location with the option of a remote work schedule. The Integration engineer role is part of a team assigned to develop and support integration programs for iDirect Government's next generation product portfolio. Candidates should be innovative, creative and experienced in both digital and RF hardware , combined with a software and test background. Y ou will work independently as well as collaboratively with software / hardware developers, managers, scrum masters, and product owners. This role will also support integration activities within the iDirect Government customer base when applicable.

Responsibilities

  • Work with senior engineers to develop clear and concise Integration documentation and tool kits to enable vendors
  • Support for vendors working through the integration process
  • As part of our hardware development process, review hardware schematics and assembly drawings to create product manufacturing and integration test plans and requirements
  • Review RF and Digital board level hardware design from concept through to production
  • Work with senior engineers to create product manufacturing and integration test plans and requirements
  • Attend and participate in system-level design meetings in order to address design issues early in the product development process
  • Actively participate in lab testing (DVT, HVT and SVT) and troubleshooting as needed
  • Participate in the new product introduction process and subsequent transition to production and vendor integrations
  • Provide training and support as required to manufacturing, integration and test staff
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 3 + years of related experience
  • Experience with RF/Digital Hardware Design
  • Awareness of communication concepts such as receive sensitivity, signal distortion, bit error rate, signal and noise power etc.
  • Practical experience in the use of test equipment (Spectrum analyzer, Arbitrary Waveform Generator, Oscilloscope, DC loads, etc.)
  • Experience with scripting (VB, C#, Perl, Tcl /Tk, Python, Ruby, Bash) for the purpose of test automation.
  • Experience with some programming language such as Python, Java, Lua, Ruby, Golang or C/C
  • Experience developing software within an Agile environment, including the use of Jira to plan and track work is considered an asset.
  • Experience with Linux is considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with IP Networking protocols and standards is considered an asset.

Education: BS in Electrical Engineering or closely related field from an accredited University/College. Clearance: Active DoD security clearance or ability to obtain a secret level DoD clearance.
