You will be using your skills and expertise to define, design, develop, test, certify and improve cutting-edge software products. These cover a very wide range from advanced mission payloads and electronic systems through highly integrated aircraft to orbital and space exploration systems. You'll perform coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting of systems and software throughout our development process. Your technical duties involve the design and development of new software products throughout the product lifecycle.

The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains - air, land, sea, space and cyber. Must-haves:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or other related discipline and typically 6 or more years of relevant experience
  • Proficiency with one or more of the following software languages: Java, TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, C, C#.
  • Proficient in software version control systems (git, subversion, etc).
  • Demonstrated team player - team success is personal success.
  • Innovative thinker with good problem solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced development environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, unit testing, test frameworks and reference architectures.
  • Understanding of Computer Aided Engineering tools
  • Practical knowledge of engineering principles and practices
  • Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required. Learn more about the background check process for Security Clearances

Preferred:
  • Framework experience such as: React, Django, Redux, Spring, Cesium/Resium, Jest, Junit, Leaflet, Kepler
  • Experience with UX/UI design and development
  • Experience developing front end and back end website applications
  • Experience with building applications using cloud providers such as AWS or Azure
  • Experience designing and developing APIs
  • Maintaining and upgrading the software following deployment
  • Nanosatellite tasking and constellation operations experience
  • Experience with build tools and processes such as Bitbucket, Jenkins, GitLab CI, webpack, NPM, Babel

Important Notice:

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment. Non-U.S. Citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Department of Defense Consolidated Adjudications Facility (DoD CAF), a federal government agency, handles the adjudicative aspects of the security clearance eligibility process for industry applicants.
