Role Summary: The Technical Solutions Manager - Enterprise Data leads the technical design and solutions of business intelligence/data systems for the Enterprise Data IT&S team. The role collaborates with PIMs from PIO Teams and business partners in the definition and the implementation of data technology solutions providing business value for brand and group functions of the NAR. This role will lead the definition of data solution concepts with the appropriate PIO partners up to and including executive leadership while steering toward the use of cost effective and/or differentiating business intelligence technologies to deliver business value. In addition, this role will align with PIMs, PIO and NAR business leaders that supports different business units to ensure that they are up to speed with latest innovative data and business intelligence solutions from Enterprise Data IT&S. Accelerate adoption of data use cases across departments and brands. Key aspects of the role include:
  • Lead PIO and business facing solutions data across the enterprise.
  • Design potential usage of data analytics or advanced data concepts such as AI and work proactively.
Technical Lead for the development and execution of data solutions.

Role Responsibilities: Main responsibility - 55% of time

  • Define and implement business intelligence and data analytic solutions
  • Keep up to date on current and emerging business intelligence, data visualization and other big data solution concepts and act as a trusted advisor to business partners on data technology use.
  • Lead the development of solution conception sessions
  • Lead the successful execution of data solution projects for business partners.
Strategy, Innovation and Continuous Improvement - 30%
  • Identifying current and future technology trends in context of business needs
  • Ability to articulate the relationship between business strategy and technology strategy
  • Aptitude for assessing complex IT programs and selecting appropriate technical strategies.
  • Analytical and conceptual thinking - with comprehensive knowledge of problem analysis, structured analysis, and design techniques
  • Non-functional items related to performance, reliability, scalability, security and disaster recovery
  • Create and prioritize technology changes to the Enterprise Data IT&S internal portfolio
  • Create efficiencies in the Multi-Year Planning for Life Cycle of Data and Business Intelligence technologies

  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly
  • Comfort speaking with IT Management, operations and developers
  • Ability to communicate at all levels of management and with a variety of audiences; experience delivering clear and concise executive-level presentations to advise business and IT leadership of status, risks, and issues while driving consensus on decisions; experience explaining difficult concepts to decision makers to help shape technology strategy.

Qualifications:

Years of Experience:
  • 15+ Years of experience in delivering technology solutions in the areas of IT and data management.
  • 7-10 years of experience in data and business intelligence consulting
  • 5-7 years business experience working with senior business and IT executives
  • 5-7 years of experience in data technologies

Education - Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems

Education - Desired:
  • Master's Degree (MBA/MS)
  • Cloud experience and certifications highly desirable

Skills:
  • Understand business challenges, and is in a position to articulate business requirements and to translate them into data and business intelligence technology needs
  • Recognize opportunities in upcoming enterprise data and business intelligence technology and translate them into business value

  • Strong IT experience in a large scale IT data solution delivery across multiple systems with direct interface to senior level business partners
  • Ability to communicate solutions to peers and high level executives in a consultative manner
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver complex business intelligence technology solutions including hands on delivery when required
  • Strong technical knowledge and ability to conceptualize and express complex data technical concepts in terms that are understandable to the business
  • Strong program management skills; experience in organizing, planning, and executing large scale projects involving internal personnel, contractors and vendors
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, and ability to communicate with all management levels
