CACI is seeking fully cleared, dynamic technical professionals to join our TETRA program in the Northern, Virginia area. TETRA is an Enterprise IT Program that supports and protects the IC mission. The program is a portfolio of hundreds of projects funded by numerous customers providing Engineering and Sustainment services for a Global Information Technology Enterprise. What You'll Get to Do:

CACI's Business and Information Technology Solutions (BITS) Sector is seeking a Systems Engineer with strong knowledge of software development and deployment of enterprise systems. As a Systems Engineer, you must have the ability to define systems solutions and configurations based on user and client needs, and required integration with existing applications, systems, and/or platforms.

Your responsibilities will include the following:
  • Performing systems administration, maintenance, and engineering in primarily Linux and Microsoft Windows Server environments
  • Collaborating with engineers or software developers to select appropriate design solutions or ensure the compatibility of systems components
  • Communicating with staff or clients to understand specific systems requirements
  • Contributing to develop systems engineering, software engineering, systems integration, or distributed systems architectures
  • Documenting systems specifications, installation instructions, and other system related information
  • Establishing functional or systems standards to ensure operational requirements, quality requirements, and design constraints are addressed
  • Performing ongoing hardware and software maintenance operations, including installing or upgrading hardware or software
  • Performing security analysis of developed or packaged software components
  • Providing technical guidance or support for the development or troubleshooting of systems
  • Verifying stability, interoperability, portability, security, or scalability of systems architecture
  • Participating as a member of a team to assess and recommend migration strategies to new technologies
  • Evaluating analytically and systematically problems of workflows and organization, and planning and developing appropriate corrective action
  • Server and database administration for virtual appliances and Linux and Windows 10 desktop

You'll Bring These Qualifications:
  • Job related experience and/or proficiency in the following:
  • Network configuration and topology
  • Server and database administration
  • Software development (e.g., Java, MySQL, SQL, and/or RDMS)
  • Perl, jQuery, Python, Bash, and C
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Virtual servers and appliances
  • Microsoft Office Suite

Education & Experience:

Candidate must have one of the following:
  • 12 Years of job related experience and High School/GED diploma
  • 10 Years of job related experience and Associates degree
  • 8 Years of job related experience and Bachelor's degree
  • 6 Years of job related experience and Master's degree
  • 4 Years of job related experience and Doctorate

These Qualifications Would Be Nice To Have:
  • Experience with SNMP v3, DNS, DHCP and Syslog is highly desired
  • Experience with MySQL and OpenLDAP
  • Experience with customer information security requirements and Certification and Accreditation process
  • Experience programming with related technologies, such as Java, Perl, and Bash
  • Experience with application development or software engineering experience in developing web-based applications
  • Experience with web protocols and technologies, such as XML, HTML, and HTTP
  • Experience with application development or software engineering experience in developing web-based applications
  • Experience with reporting software and tools, MySQL, and database management software
  • Experience with the customer's information security requirements and Certification and Accreditation process

Core Hours: 9:00 - a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
  • Business needs support flexibility for the individual in this position to come in early or stay late, as needed to accomplish or complete tasks. Customer prefers the individual works the regular work week schedule, as requirements are received every day of the work week.
