Zachary Piper Solutions is currently seeking a Network Security Consulting Engineer in the Herndon, VA area to support federal customers in their dealings within the Intelligence community. A successful candidate for the Network Security Consulting Engineer will have a well-versed background in routing, switching, and security-related technologies. The Network Security Consulting Engineer much possess active TS/SCI with a CI or FSP clearance.
Responsibilities for the Network Security Consulting Engineer include:- Perform analysis and diagnosis of complex networking or security problems
- Influence and guide teams in dynamic strategic environments through design, deployment, analysis of complex security solutions
- Research, replicate and resolve security issues
- System Monitoring & Threat Management
- Monitor all in-place security solutions for efficient and appropriate operations.
- Review logs and reports of all in-place devices. Interpret the implications of that activity and devise plans for appropriate resolution.
- 4+ years of professional network security engineering experience
- Foundation in route and switch protocols
- CCNP Certified
- Experience with Threat Identification and Mitigation, Intrusion Detection & Prevention, Content Security, Identity Management, ASA Firewall/VPN, IOS Firewall
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Bachelor's degree and/or relevant work experience
- Salary Range: $125,000 - $185,000 based on experience/job site
