Systems Engineer/Software Engineer (T1)
Job Category: EngineeringTime Type: Full timeMinimum Clearance Required to Start: SecretEmployee Type: RegularPercentage of Travel Required: Up to 25%Type of Travel: Continental USWhat You'll Get to Do:- Analyze and review current software and related documentation. i.e. specifications, requirements, interface documents, test documents.
- Assist in the research and analysis of existing systems and program requirements; assists in preparing documentation to change existing programs.
- Perform data analysis to support internal and external project.
- Perform analysis tools development; including the coding, testing, debugging, implementation, and documentation maintenance of basic programs that are designed to assist with data analysis practices.
- Design basic programs for projects or enhancements to existing programs to support data analysis.
- Assist in resolving identified issues within the AWS.
- Assist in development of Analysis Cases used to thoroughly analyze Combat System performance on a system functionality basis.
- Travel to various test sites to support Combat System testing.
- Root Cause isolation of identified computer program anomalies via methods of data analysis and source code analysis.
- Perform software development utilizing Python and C to expand the capabilities of data analysis tool suites.
- Travel to local and non-local test sites to support AWS capability testing.
- Work in an office where you will be required to coordinate and collaborate with a team, while also being able to work independently.
- This position requires access to secure systems and is not telework eligible.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or physical science.
- Need to have the ability to obtain and maintain, at minimum, a Secret Level Security Clearance. Active Secret Security Clearance is a plus.
- Experience in C, Java, and/or Python programming languages.
- Experience with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
- Active Secret level clearance.
- Experience with Aegis Weapons System or similar Combat System.
