PAS, National Guard.Learn more about this agencyResponsibilitiesAs an IT Specialist (PLCYPLN), GS-2210-09/11, you will perform
the following duties:Serves as the Quality Assurance Specialist (QAS) for the
planning,implementation and execution of a quality assurance program
that includes the full range of quality principles, concepts,
inspection techniques, surveillance and evaluations related to
quality assurance functional programs of all assigned ground
equipment, electronic equipment & systems, associated systems and
communications personnel from numerous job series, and
communications disciplines.Conducts, analyzes, and documents
technical and personnel evaluations to ensure training programs are
adequate, specialists and technicians are competent, technical and
procedural data are adequate, and that equipment is maintained and
managed according to applicable technical data.Performs duties as
the Technical Order Distribution Officer (TODO). Manages the Time
Compliance Technical Order (TCTO) program.Plans and schedules
training activities for assigned Drill Status personnel. Oversees
and conducts On the Job Training (OJT) for personnel.Manages
evaluation program to ensure required actions are tracked and
completed.Establishes internal reporting and status tracking
procedures to ensure adequate control in terms of deadlines,
progress reports, and follow-up reports.Conducts, analyzes and
documents special evaluations as directed by higher authority or
Squadron management to identify problem areas and suggest corrective
actions to restore systems or equipment to technical specifications
after unsatisfactory system performance.

NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED. If you are not sure you

This is an excepted service position that requires membership in
a compatible military assignment in the employing state's
National Guard, required prior to the effective date of
placement.
Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.

must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the
National Guard in the military grade listed in this

appointment/enlistment in the Virginia National Guard must be

to, or during, the advertisement period.Military Grades: Enlisted Personnel (E-6/TSgt - E-7/MSgt)Compatible Military Assignments: 3D1X2GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Applicant must have experience in work such
as computer operator or assistant, computer sales representative,
program analyst, or other positions that required the use or
adaptation of computer programs and systems and did this work
provide you with a basic knowledge of data processing functions and
general management principles that enabled the applicant to
understand the stages required to automate a work process.GS-09 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicant must have at least 24
months experience of specialized experience, equivalent to at least
the GS-09 level, or equivalent pay band in other pay systems in the
Federal government. This experience may also have been obtained in
the private sector, but must demonstrate that it is comparable to
the GS grade indicated. This experience must include activities such
as:
1. Experience, in analysis of the interrelationship of pertinent
components of the system.
2. Experience planning the sequence of actions necessary to
accomplish the assignment.
3. Experience scheduling the sequence of programs to be processed
by computers where alternatives had to be weighed with a view to
production efficiency.OR
A masters or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of
progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a
degreeGS-11 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicant must have at least 36
months experience of specialized experience, equivalent to at least
the GS-09 level, or equivalent pay band in other pay systems in the
Federal government? This experience may also have been obtained in
the private sector, but must demonstrate that it is comparable to
the GS grade indicated. This experience must include activities such
as:
1. Experience, education, or training that approaches techniques
and requirements appropriate to an assigned computer
applications area or computer specialty area in an organization.
2. Experience planning the sequence of actions necessary to
accomplish the assignment where this entailed coordination with
others outside the organizational unit and development of
project controls.
3. Experience that required adaptations of guidelines or precedents
to meet the needs of the assignment
4. Experience preparing documentation on cost/benefit studies
involving summarizing the material and organizing it in a
logical fashion.OR
A Ph.D. or equivalent, or 3 years of progressively higher level
graduate education leading to such a degree.EducationSubstitution of Education for Specialized Experience - At
the GS-9 level, a masters or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full
