Job Title: Mechatronics Assembler/Technician

Position Summary:
This position requires someone with a mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic aptitude. The candidate would be responsible to correctly build, troubleshoot, and repair industrial machinery used primarily, but not limited to, the wood products industry.
Essential Job Function, Requirements and Mindset:
Perform assembly; start up, testing and modification of machinery.
Great work ethic and attitude.
Punctual with a desire to work hard.
Work independently once trained on the assembly of our products.
Must have basic tool set (I.E. sockets, ratchets, wrenches, hammers, pliers etc.)
Interpret written and verbal instructions, engineering drawings and blue prints.
Mark up and document changes to drawings.
Offer solution based ideas to problems and procedures.
Quality checks of work to identify defects in assembly and or parts used in manufacturing
Maintain a safe, clean and efficient work area.
Follow general PPE, identify and reduce safety hazards.
Load and unload trucks and trailers when needed.
Keep accurate records of billable hours per job.
Run errands, work overtime or work outside of typical schedules if needed.
Perform other duties as required by supervisor.
Participate in daily housekeeping, property and shop maintenance/organization.
Experience:
Preferred backgrounds including but not limited to mechanically inclined professions such as HVAC, industrial maintenance, automotive repair, machine fabrication, conveyor assembly or automation assembly. Carpentry and or metal working skills is a plus.
Physical Demands:
Requires extended periods of sitting, standing, bending, climbing, reaching; lifting over 50 pounds; normal range of hearing and vision; and have the ability to work in various climate conditions.
Typical Mental Demands:
Ability to maintain composure during increased times of stress and fatigue. Respectfully interacts with co-workers, vendors and customers.
