Busy Manufacturing Company in Madison Heights is needing an Experienced Material Hander with schedule flexiblility.Pay $: 12.00Shift: FirstCategory: Light IndustrialDescription:The General Purpose for the Material Handler Associate is to safely handle material to and from designated storage areas and to assist others in various warehouse function.Essential Functions and Areas of Responsibility:Read and understand ordersOperate forklift, man lift, overhead crane according to all safety procedures and guidelinesAssist with Loading TrucksUtilize basic computers skills to complete paperwork, verifying correct shippingWrap box in shrink wrap for shippingBand Materials on skidsLoad and Unload material to and from designation aresStack and pile materials ? Sort and Store itemsCross-train to perform other duties and assist other employees, as neededWear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment, steel toed boots, safety glasses and arm guardsQualifications:Qualified Material Handler Associates should meet the following requirements:High School Diploma or GED6months-1year working with shipping equipment in a manufacturing environmentPrevious Forklift experienceKnowledge of various hand tools, measuring and guiding devicesAbility to perform basic math skills and communicate verbally and in written form to complete shipping tickets.A pre-employment drug screen is a requirement for consideration of employmentApplicant may be subject to a background check- A conviction record will not necessarily prevent you from being employed.
