Experienced Ricoh Copier/Printer Technician with strong IT networking capabilities needed to cover the Central Virginia area. This position includes field work repair and IT support as well as in-shop set up. Compensation will be dependent on the candidate's background and training. Experience and service certifications for Ricoh copiers/printers' manufacturer is desirable. A company vehicle will be provided during the day for this position.

Purpose:

Repair and maintain office equipment by performing diagnostic tests; cleaning, repairing, and/or replacing parts and components.

Duties:

Sets-up equipment by delivering, unpacking, assembling, and completing diagnostics; obtaining acceptance by customer.

Determine causes of office equipment failure by simulating office use of equipment and conducting diagnostic tests.

Complete preventive maintenance by cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting parts, assemblies, and components.

Provide customer support by providing training; responding to requests; resolving problems on-site, by telephone or remote computer support.

Maintain shop equipment parts and supplies inventory by checking stock; anticipating needs; verifying receipt; stocking items.

Respond to service requests within 4 hours Service Agreement

Repair copiers and printers to customer satisfaction (98% up time)

Perform scheduled maintenance

Replace toner and staples cartridges

Obtain meter readings

Handle basic connectivity issues as it relates to printing and scanning

Manage and maintain onsite inventory

Manage a daily service call activity and document service on company Service form

Communicate with customer and service management

Work in unison with onsite IT staff

Maintain a 100% customer satisfaction

Represent ODIS in a professional and ethical manner

Skill Required / Qualifications:

Higher consideration given to candidates with OEM certification

Technical and Mechanical Skills

IT knowledge (above average computer skills)

Prior experience with printer support or service

Excellent Customer Service Skills

Independent Problem Solving Skills

Good Attendance/Dependability Record

Team-player

Minimum high school diploma or equivalent with higher consideration for technical training

Clean driving record

Professional appearance

Must be willing to complete a background check

Excellent written and oral communication

Strong organizational and multitasking skills

Ability to problem solve

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

Strong mechanical and electrical break fix skills

Strong networking and connectivity skills
