UVA Health System Specialty System team is seeking an individual to join us in supporting our clinical leaders and fellow IT professionals in implementing and maintaining UVA's clinical and business systems. Our ideal candidate should be able to work under our established IT support procedures to analyze, document and configure assigned applications to best meet the needs and goals of our Health System. This position will work in collaboration with a team of fellow analysts as well as software vendors, end users and business stakeholders, and should be able to communicate with said groups accordingly. Part of the ultimate goal of this position is to, through time, become the go-to person for specific and very specialized applications and to foster our department's relationships with its related user groups.

  • Under general supervision performs and/or coordinates installation, maintenance and modification of assigned Health System applications to meet customer and Health System requirements.
  • Acts as the liaison between the operational or functional users areas, vendors and other technical staff.
  • Communicates technical requirements to teammates and management and provides assistance to teammates in an effort to enhance the overall services provided by the team.
  • Maintains or develops application and process documentation.
  • Responsibilities and tasks are completed according to established standards within the assigned timeframe, with guidance from more senior staff as needed. Includes use of project management and service management tools.
  • Solutions developed or modified are thoroughly tested to prevent production implementation problems.
  • Communicates appropriately and professionally at all time.
  • In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.

Experience preferred providing IT system administration for any of the following healthcare applications or similar applications: Agility, cNext, RLDatix Risk and Feedback, Theradoc, Sleepworks, Breezesuite, Obix, AS-OBGYN, Rosch, Cactus sProvider, Sidexis.Position Compensation Range: $32.62 - $52.19 Hourly

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSEducation: High School Degree required. Bachelor's Degree preferred. Experience: 3 years of relevant experience

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings and provide application support.
