Java Backend Developer

Multiple Locations: McLean, VA

Top Skills:

1. Java back-end or full stack (with strong back-end experience)

2. SpringBoot

3. Building Microservices or APIs Built in JAVA

4. AWS Cloud (S3 Busckets, Route 53, Elastic Cache, EMR, AWS)

5.No SQL data bases (Cassandra, MongoDB or DynamoDB)

6. Node. js is nice to have

7. Any knowledge of Big data or streaming data with Apache Spark (strong plus), Scala, Kafka etc is a plus

Soft skill

1. Can articulate solid understanding in data migration and continuous data flow concepts in the cloud

2. Card data or payment processing experience

3. Working in a team collaborative environment

Job Overview:

IT Data Transformation effort. Processing systems and data are still on mainframe and need to be modernized. Target technical platform is AWS big data no sql. This is a re-platforming to create a cloud (AWS) native data platform and service combination. It will allow client to take advantage of their huge lake of data for business intelligence and new revenue streams in the future.
