Senior Data Engineer Location: McLean, VADuration: 12 months

Description:As a Data Management -Cloud/ Data Engineer, you'll be part of a team that’s building new analytical and machine learning tools and frameworks to exploit advantages in the latest developments in cloud computing - EMR, Airflow, SageMaker, etc.

Qualifications:5+ years of experience in Java/Python, or Scala for large scle data analysis5+ years' experience with Relational Database Systems and SQL (PostgreSQL or Redshift)2+ years of experience with Cloud computing (AWS)2+ years of data modeling experience2+ years of experience with Spark5+ years of UNIX/Linux experience

Here are some of the must have skills:Good Analytical skills to participate in discussions, understand features/changes.Clean Coding/Development Practice using any Object Oriented/JVM Languages Java/Python/Scala.Familiarity with application development workflowUnderstanding of standard Build tools (Language Specific - Maven/Gradle/SetupTools etc) and using them in coding practicesUnderstanding of Test-Driven DevelopmentCoding with Version control (GitHub) and peer reviewUnderstanding of CI/CD process using Jenkins/Travis etc andKnowledge of building solutions using basic Aws Services EC2, Lambda, S3.Additional container (docker/docker-compose) experience and AWS Services like ECS, EMR, RDS etc is a plus.
