Business Systems Administrator (Finance & Accounting)Direct HireMcLean, VA / Job description:Looking for a Business System Administrator with 5 years + to support both finance and accounting. Someone who can work in a complex reporting enviroment and understand it. Aslo play the role of the systems admin. Detail oriented, someone who can:- Implement new modules and functionality for Adaptive, BI 360 and Great Plains
- Maintain chart of account and access/permission in Great Plains
- Manage the data integrations into Adaptive Insights from Great Plains, and other source systems as appropriate, performing monthly system reconciliations
- Review and approval of reports designed by end users to ensure compatibility with standard reports
- Research and implement new technologies or custom solutions to improve workflows
- Document platform architecture and support training and knowledge transfer to platform users
- Monitor deployment of additional cloud-based functionality/upgrades release by all three platforms complete and coordinate testing and communication to key stakeholders
- Plan, review, and revise configurations and customizations to meet evolving business and operational needs
- Develop, document, and implement policies, procedures, guidelines,best practices to ensure data integrity.
- Standardized end user processes
- Lead internal trainings and regular information sharing activities
- Troubleshoot intermittent data and/or break/fix issues
- Maintain user permissions and role access
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into effective & efficient application configuration
- Perform additional tasks as needed related to the administration of Great Plains, Adaptive Insights, and BI360
- Manage business rules impacting calculations, allocations and repositories built within Adaptive insights for the purposes of facilitating the Company's annual budgeting exercise and recurring forecasts
- Support Auditor request as needed
- Minimum of 5 years' experience including the support of financial, accounting and reporting software
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; highly proficient in other Microsoft applications
- Experience with Workday Adaptive Insight, Great Plains, and BI360
- Strong knowledge of three primary Financials Statements (Statement of Operations, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow)
- Proven track record of converting complex and fragmented data sets to meaningful information
- BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, and/or similar quantitative analysis
- Ability to travel, :10%, nationally and occasionally on short notice
- MBA or MS in Business Analytics or similar degree preferred
