Maxar is seeking a highly motivated Systems Integrator to join our team in McLean, VA and be instrumental in coordinating the migration of an application from a few networks into a centralized location deployed on the Sponsor's cloud-environment. The application is well-established with a stable user-base with some pieces already deployed in the cloud. Different pieces of the application and the deployment process are being handled by various offices throughout the organization, so we are looking for a ring-leader to work and collaborate across multiple teams to accomplish the goal. In this role you will be part of a development team that build and maintain an application that allows for real-time data analysis and supports field operations.What you will be doing:- Assist with performing systems integration activities across multiple teams to ensure timely and accurate support.
- Oversee and application's migration, from a total systems perspective, including a technical understanding of relationships, dependencies and requirements of cloud services, infrastructure and security domains.
- Thrive in an environment with frequent changes.
- Partner with various stakeholders to translate requirements and technical specifications.
- Learn and analyze complex, interconnected processes/systems to form a comprehensive documented view.
- Provide technical guidance concerning implications of application development projects.
- Manage complex troubleshooting efforts that cross multiple platforms and technical disciplines.
- Apply problem-solving techniques to lead application design discussions and resolve technical issues.
- Implement scalable solutions based on distributed or serverless architectures.
- Leverage platform expertise to lead the planning and deployment of cloud solutions.
- Must have a current/active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related field. 4 years of additional experience may be substituted for a degree.
- 5 years of experience with system architecture, engineering, integration or design.
- 2 years of experience with cloud based hosting solutions, including the AWS platform (S3, EMR/EC2, Lambda).
- 2 years of experience building, deploying, testing systems in a production environment.
- Experience with handling big data
- Experience with Agile
- AWS certifications
