Description JOB DESCRIPTION: This is an exciting opportunity to provide high-visibility impact on an enduring and evolving mission that requires a self-motivated, creative individual to serve as a Web Designer in a Front Office environment. The Web Designer is responsible for d eveloping, creating, managing, and maintaining content for a Customer directorate website in a Joomla content management system. The successful candidate will work closely with other members of the Front Office Communications Team, internal and external organizations, and senior government managers to develop web design solutions for a broad Intelligence Community audience. Key responsibilities for the position include, but are not limited, to:

  • Develop branded briefing materials (PowerPoint, placemats, infographics, Word documents).
  • Develop branding and visual identity criteria (logomarks, seals, style guides).
  • Manage and maintain directorate Front Office administrative products in Excel and Tableau (org charts, global presence map, phone lists).
  • Create and maintain templates and documentation on Tableau and Visual Identity products.
  • Train content managers (in person or virtually) on best practices for creating news, blogs, and events in the directorate website.
  • Perform outreach and requirements gathering with stakeholders across the directorate to migrate external site content into the directorate website.
  • Develop monthly reporting for the directorate front office on website development activities and site migration metrics.
  • Attend weekly staff meeting to coordinate requirements and provide status updates on actions.
Qualifications TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Required Qualifications:
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with full-scope polygraph.
  • Bachelor's degree and (14) years or more of related experience. Masters and (12) years or more experience; PhD or JD and (9) years or more experience managing organizational websites, including at least two years designing and developing website content for the customer.
  • Proven and demonstrable Joomla expertise.
  • Expertise with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat) and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Successful experience with Tableau or a similar visualization software.
  • Adaptable work style with the ability to work in a fast-paced and high-performance environment.
  • High comfort level engaging with all levels of stakeholders on the full range of website and communications requirements and deliverables.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting Strategic Communications efforts.
  • Relevant experience with graphic design, branding/campaigns, multimedia, and infographics.
  • Understanding of publication design, management, and production.
