This position is currently on a REMOTE basis due to the pandemic and may return to onsite in the coming months. The position will pay an hourly rate of $65/HR (W2), $70/HR (CTC, 10-99) or an annual salary of $120K (W2). Due to the required clearance with our government client, only US Citizens, Green Card and Green Card EAD holders may be considered. Clearance requires that the candidates have resided in the US for the past five years. The selected candidate cannot have left the country for longer than 90 consecutive days and no more than 180 cumulative days. Our client is currently seeking a C# Software Engineer to work out of their clients Merrifield, VA office.

Duties and Responsibilities (to include but not be limited to the following):
  • Designs, modifies, develops, writes and implements software programming applications
  • Familiar with SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), designs, plans, and coordinates work teams
  • Supports and/or installs software applications/operating systems
  • Provides technical support to project team members
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected for fast pace R&D environments
  • Typically reports to the team lead of the development group

Qualifications and Experience:

Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree plus 10 years of professional service
  • Must be familiar with Microsoft C# programming language with .Net platform
  • Must be familiar with Microsoft Visual Studio IDE with source control software TFS (Team Foundation Server)
  • Must be familiar with C#.Net database interface design, and SQL commands
  • Experienced on C# WinForm with Kiosk software design
  • Experienced on web application, and web services (must familiar with XML and JSON) design
  • Experienced on C# multi-threading programming design
  • Experienced on Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) for source control

Preferred:
  • Familiar with Microsoft Entity Framework
  • Familiar with Microsoft Windows system, e.g. Win10, Windows Servers
  • Familiar with section 508 compliant UI design
  • Familiar with Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF)
  • Familiar with UI interface design technologies is a plus, e.g. speech recognition, text to speech, and so on
  • Knowing of other programming languages
  • Had hardware driver development experience
  • To be able to demonstrate current work

Security:
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
  • Must be able to obtain and keep a Sensitive Clearance
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder and have been living in the U.S. for at least the last five years
  • Must not have traveled outside of the United States for more than 180 days in the last five years
  • All candidates will be subject to a pre-employment background investigation and drug screening per our client's requirements.
