The division provides products for drugs of abuse testing, therapeutic drug monitoring, quality control, sepsis diagnosis, prenatal screening and more. Additionally, the division provides advanced laboratory instrumentation and high-throughput laboratory automation equipment for use in a variety of laboratory settings. Products are offered through direct sales, regional distributors, and OEM partnerships.What will you do?Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide support to manufacturing departments for the design, fabrication, modification, and evaluation of parts, assemblies, components, sub-assemblies, tooling, and final products.

Provide support to manufacturing departments by collecting/processing information related to assigned projects, evaluating all information and alternatives, preparing/presenting plans, and recommending a course of action to management.

Prepare cost estimates for labor, tooling, and equipment and prepare appropriation requests for Manufacturing Engineering Team and management review.

Design and/or procure equipment/machines/tools. Monitor performance of equipment/machines/tools and manufacturing processes.

Coordinate manufacturing launch for new or revised products/processes, including the deployment and training of team members.

Evaluate and approve drawings, routings, manufacturing instructions, specifications, and other documents.

Prepare and manufacture prototypes and participates in design reviews, utilizing the principles of concurrent engineering.

Assist in developing manufacturing processes, production line layouts, fixture design, equipment validations (IQ/OQ), FAT, capability studies, documentation, LEAN techniques, etc.

Assist Manufacturing Engineering Team with project management, including managing prioritization, determining project goals, and tracking project milestones. Assist Team with selecting methods and techniques with Team and finishing a project to completion.

Assist Packaging Engineering Team with packaging improvements and cost reduction of new or existing packaging components-products. Assist in assessing and resolve packaging problems arising in production or in the field.

Develop and issue detailed specifications for procurement of packaging components, direct the implementation of new or revised packaging, recommend/implement packaging enhancements for cost reductions and quality improvements, and perform packaging qualification studies as needed.

Qualify equipment in an FDA regulated industry by managing/generating/executing qualification and production documentation (ie, SOP, WI, URS, FAT, SAT, IQ/OQ/PQ, gap analysis, etc.).

Promote and support Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement activities in Manufacturing.

Assure all teams are in the adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).

Meet plant individual performance expectations focusing on Quality, Safety and Delivery.

Assure compliance with corporate site and regulatory policies, practices, and guidelines.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Education:Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field preferred

Associate’s Degree in Engineering or related field is minimum requirement

Experience:2+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing engineering required(manufacturing/packagingautomation preferred).

5+ years for Associate’s Degree

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:Project management experience required.

Proficiency in engineering graphics (i.e. AutoCAD).

Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (i.e. Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)

Significant time each day spent in GMP manufacturing environment in which designated PPE will be required.

Position will require sitting, standing, and climbing of stairs.

Employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
