The primary focus for this position falls equally on end-user support and enterprise technology support. This function requires an in-depth understanding of a wide variety of technologies to effectively support end users and provide guidance to others.Responsibilities:- Infrastructure management and support :
- Assist with server management; physical and virtual. Includes patching, networking, creation, inventory, and troubleshooting. Includes installation, troubleshooting, and management of all server applications including:
- Assist with virtual environment (VSAN) management including troubleshooting, networking, creation, and inventory of virtual hosts; evaluating the overall health of the VSAN environment.
- Assist with backup management including organization and management of tape and disk backups. This position will assist IT management in testing disaster recovery and business continuity plans impacted by the IT backup environment.
- Assist with domain management including creating/modifying users, computers, groups, OUs, and assigning permissions within the domain.
- Network Administration:
- Install, assemble, configure, and troubleshoot network infrastructure including wiring, switching, routing, and other network interfacing.
- End-user support:
- Communicate with and support various users within the company regarding the use of online and on-premises technologies.
- Collaborate with other members of the IT department to provide support for computers and printers. Including setup/install, configuration, software deployment, troubleshooting various hardware peripherals.
- 3-5 years’ experience directly related to infrastructure and networking administration – or - completion of a college degree in a related field plus 1 year of experience in a related field.
- 3-5 years’ experience with computer hardware, software, and peripherals such as central processing units, servers, monitors, cables, printers, plotters.
- Advanced knowledge of PC/Server hardware and Windows operating system including Windows 10 and Server 2016/2019
- Experience with installing, configuring, upgrading, troubleshooting, and repairing applicable software, hardware, and peripherals.
- Ability to explain technical concepts and procedures to non-technical users.
