Planate Management Group is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, USA with a technical support center in the Philippines that provides program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies.

The Financial Management Support will be responsible for the accounting, budget, disbursement and customer support within the assigned area of responsibility.

This position is contingent to the award of the contract and is based in Southwest Asia (Qatar, UAE, Al Salem Kuwait).

Key responsibilities:

Process, input and audit all documentation and data associated with pay, travel, purchase requisitions and other agency transactions.

Maintain relevant coordination with financial managers and staff in the deployed sites regarding all relevant accounting activities to ensure complete analysis, reconciliation and balancing of funding documents.

Coordinate with finance personnel to accommodate daily exchange rate changes affecting obligations and payments.

Perform budget formulation work involving preparation of detailed analyses of annual and/or multi-year budget estimates for assigned organizations, deployed and re-deployed resources and programs into a consolidated budget request.

Provide support to all facets of the planning, programming, and budget activities with policy, analysis, execution or training services.

Validate and post United States Savings Deposit Program (USSDP) transactions for active, guard, and reserve personnel. Balance and obtain approval of Limited Depository Accounts (LDA).

Identify, establish and ensure resolution of documents submitted via Case Management System (CMS).

Monitor daily exchange rate changes affecting obligations and payments.

Maintain finance and accounting records for all monetary disbursements and collections maintained in the Central Disbursing System (CDS).

Prepare and provide training and mentoring on all financial management activities to financial managers within the area of responsibility.

Ensure that all reports are compiled, analyzed and submitted as needed, when needed.

Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Qualifications to be successful in the role:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or other related fields of study.

Required to have at least 12 college semester hours in Economics, Accounting and Statistics.

At least 6 years' relevant government financial management experience.

Must have software and hardware working knowledge and experience with Defense Enterprise Accounting and Management System (DEAMS), Commanders Resource Integration System (CRIS) and Eagle Cash System.

Experience with procurement law, executive orders, and federal and agency regulations.

Experience with business practices and market conditions applicable to program and technical requirements.

Experience with wide range of finance and accounting principles, policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.

Ability to recognize and analyze problems, conduct research, summarize results, and make appropriate recommendations.

Experience with automated accounting systems to reconcile errors that require an understanding of nonstandard procedures.

Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy.

US citizen with secret clearance
