TAX PREPARER (Portsmouth, VA)
Heritage Income Tax Service, Inc., is an A+ Accredited member of the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and winner of the Virginian Pilot's "Best of Portsmouth" contest each of the last eleven (11) years.
We are looking for one (1) experienced tax preparer who would like to go to the next step in their tax preparation career. If you come to work with us, we will pay all of the costs involved for you to become an Enrolled Agent (EA). If you are already an Enrolled Agent (EA), that will be even better. We presently have three preparers. Two have been here from the beginning of the company fifteen (18) years ago and the third has been here for ten (13) years. As you see, we really want someone for a long term relationship. Unfortunately, one of our preparers will be retiring and is cutting back hours for this, her last season here.
Heritage Income Tax Service, Inc. offers a great atmosphere in which to work as well as top pay for qualified individuals.
The person we are looking for will have the following characteristics:
- Has worked for at least the last two (2) tax seasons preparing taxes, face to face with clients, while working in a professional tax preparation office.
- Has a current Tax Preparer ID Number (PTIN).
- Has a desire to learn and to grow.
- Has the ability to communicate articulately with others.
- Has the ability to work well with others.
- Has a positive attitude
- Has a strong work ethic
- Is able to dress professionally.
- Must be a non-smoker.
