Job Title: Engineer
Location: Hampton Roads in Virginia
Duties & Responsibilities
- Contract/RFP review for technical requirements.
- Creating/maintaining documents and processes to meet contract technical requirements, new products, and product revisions. This will include creating test procedures, inspection documents, drawings, processes, work instructions, sub-contract flow down requirements (technical), etc.
- BOM management
- Build and maintain processes within ERP system
- Maintain technical data within QMS system
- Coordinate and develop testing requirements as required by customers
- Manage first article processes and documentation
Typical products and materials: engineered and specialty fabrics, flexible hose/ducts, fabricated metal components, adhesives, thread, and orings.
Experience Requirements
- college degree
- at least 5 years industry experience, but also accepting applications from candidates with lifetime experience
- familiarity with government specifications and technical requirements
- able to work well and coordinate with quality supply chain, and production departments
- comfortable interacting with customers and suppliers
