Accounts Receivable Coordinator

Assists the Supervisor in the day to day operations of the accounts receivable department. Maintains billing & collection of receivables including federal financial aid. Provides customer service to students and vendors. Provide exceptional customer service to all “customers” of the accounts receivable department, including students, departments, employees and management Provide training as required. Including but not limited to all EVMS employees (and temporary employees) on Financial Services applications and policies as well as applications and policies that directly impact Financial Services.Researches and resolves account receivable problemsResponsible for the billing of all tuition and fees Assists Supervisor in the monitoring of the collection of tuition and fees and sends notifications to students and management in accordance with established departmental collection guidelines. Collects and posts financial aid and processes refunds to students in compliance with federal regulations.Maintain financial services student rosters.Bills all contractual services (hospitals for residency services, the military for student scholarships and other organizations for parking revenue) and completes appropriate journal entries.Bills all affiliated organizations for services.Must be able and willing to work overtime as needed to meet deadlines especially during July-August and January when students are returning and preparing for the year end external audit.Attention to detail and mental concentration are necessary for accurately performing tasks and handling frequent interruptionsAssociate’s degree or equivalent in accounting or finance from two-year College or technical school. Three (3) years of related experience required.
