Lead and manage large functional analysis projects or processes with minimal oversight, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and best practices.
Serve as a recognized subject matter expert in functional analysis, providing critical insights and guidance to support decision-making and process optimization.
Address difficult and often complex problems, conducting in-depth analysis to develop effective solutions that enhance business processes and operational efficiency.
Coach, review, and delegate work to lower-level professionals, supporting their growth and ensuring the delivery of high-quality results.
Influence and shape organizational policies, practices, and procedures through data-driven recommendations and strategic analysis.
Apply your specialized expertise within your discipline to address specific functional challenges, while also leveraging broad knowledge of related areas, including project management.
Work closely with various departments to ensure that functional analysis aligns with broader organizational goals and drives continuous improvement.
Develop comprehensive documentation and reports that clearly communicate analysis findings, recommendations, and the impact on business operations.
QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will have:
A Bachelor’s Degree in functional analysis, business administration, information systems, or a related field with at least 4 years of experience in functional analysis or a related field, with a demonstrated ability to manage large and complex projects is required.
Ability to obtain a Secret level Clearance.
Deep knowledge of functional analysis methodologies, tools, and best practices, typically obtained through advanced education combined with extensive practical experience.
Strong leadership abilities with experience in coaching and mentoring professionals, as well as effectively delegating tasks.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to address complex challenges and deliver actionable insights.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and persuade others regarding functional policies and practices.
Recognized as having a specialty within the functional analysis discipline, with broad knowledge that may extend into project management.
10% travel required.
Additional Desired Experience and Skills:
Experience in a government or defense-related environment.
Familiarity with government contracting processes and procedures.
Proficiency in functional analysis tools and software.
Knowledge of business process re-engineering and process improvement methodologies.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
