Job Title: Lead Performance Engineer Job Location: Norfalk VA Job Type: Contract Job Duration :Long Description:
- Utilize various tools and technologies including HP LoadRunner, QTP, SOAP UI, SiteScope, HP-Quality Center, ALM, Web Logic, Web Sphere, Apache Tomcat, PEGA PRPC, TriZetto, Facets, Oracle 10g and SQL
- Use Jira, qTest and Confluence for test management
- Execute Performance, Load, Stress and other non-functional tests. Perform system testing for Pega application, including functional testing, user acceptance testing, end-to-end testing and UAT regression testing
- Perform automation and performance testing using software-testing tools and test management tools. Write, analyze and execute test scripts and use bug tracking tools to generate daily, weekly and monthly reports
- Develop configuration specifications for environments as per new business requirements.
- Provide technical support for system design, testing and implementation activities
- Work on different databases to extract the data and to perform data validation and data verification; Acquire and develop test data and revise program(s) resulting in improved performance
- Work with other technical team members to support the test execution to ensure correct environment configuration prior to execution
- Monitor application logs to determine system behavior; Address all technical issues, facilitate the resolution and necessary follow up with PM, IS/IT, development and other cross-functional departments
- Monitor the resource usage of web servers, application servers and database servers using different types of monitoring tools during performance testing; analyze the CPU utilization, memory usage, garbage collection and DB connections to verify the performance of applications
- Generate performance graphs, session reports and other related documentation required for validation and analysis; Publish results and receive appropriate sign off; Prepare detailed status reports and monitor all defects and issues
- Improve performance of communication systems, software storage, security, hardware, network and others
- Resolve environment problems and suggest environment modifications to support system needs.
- Analyze, design, develop process improvements with enhanced agile methodology to automate and streamline build processes
- Recommend system enhancements and upgrades for performance efficiency
- Develop scripts to automate deployments & test executions as part of DevOps pipeline to optimize the configuration process
- Experience with SAFe preferred.
- Certification, such as CP-SAT, CSTE, CSQA, CMST, CSQE preferred
