Duration: 6.5 monthsDescriptionDescription:Our Logistics Specialists manage movements of assets and personnel, maintain a large database that is directly linked with billing, take orders for new and existing customers, monitor operational data via client’s premier remote monitoring platform - InSight, and assist our technical service department with equipment troubleshooting. An experienced professional will answer calls from all over the world at any time, and on any day. (These duties are just a few examples of the many that the Logistics Department performs.)The Logistics Department serves as the communication core for client and are essential to the success of order fulfillment. Our Logistics specialists are adept at providing world-class customer service in an ever-changing technological industry.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONDirects and monitors the client operations for all customers by ensuring that employees and equipment are available and in use when required.

Coordinates these activities with the Sales, Drivers, Global Field Service, Field Service Representatives (FSRs) and respective Plant Managers or their designated representatives.

Acts as an information source for customers, managers and employees on information received from the field.

Monitors mobile technical operations via client’s InSight platform

Receives customer requests for service from customer representatives and client, Engineering, Technical and Service Departments.

Gathers pertinent information to ensure job success – determines type of equipment, necessary supplies and test equipment, FSR coverage, flow rate, feed water quality and on-time delivery.

Dispatches drivers, field service personnel and equipment from respective plants or diverts equipment in route, if necessary, to the appropriate job sites.

Maintains contact with Drivers, Global Field Service FSRs, Sales Managers, service centers, other company personnel, and customers serving as a 24 hour, 365 days a year communications and control center.

Maintains various records and logs. These may include, but are not limited to job status report, customer information, travel instructions to each of the job sites, driver dispatch logs, meter readings, and customer job site data through client’s customer management tools.

Endeavors to maintain harmonious relations with customers at all times.

Alerts Sales Managers, Plant Managers, Logistics, Global Field Service, Quality, and specific Department personnel to developing field situations and customer related call-ins.

Works in conjunction with plant management to monitor driver availability, rotation and location.

As the first step in the billing process, generates recaps for each piece of equipment at all job sites.

Participates in the transfer of information at shift change.

Provides basic technical consultation to FSRs, Drivers, customers and others when requested.

Strives to keep a balanced inventory of mobile equipment based on regional customer demand.

Contributes ideas to simplify execution of logistics duties in a 21st century environmentREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSHigh School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor Degree preferred.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and SAP preferred.

Ability to use business specific software programs.

Mathematical skills, including operations in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and percentages

Ability to multi-task.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience in Water Technologies and Solutions Field Services desirable.
