Job Summary: Serves as analyst responsible for determining project requirements including facility configuration IT PC s printers copiers POS network wiring facility and telecommunication voice data requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities: Incumbents of this position must be U.S. Citizens. - Works under the supervision of the Field Support Supervisor. - Responsible for collecting complete IT requirements for projects including but not limited to numbers of PC s and placement number of faxes and placement number of printers and placement port count for network wiring requirements and placement voice phone requirements to include determination of transport phone switch VOIP . - Responsible for network and telecommunications site surveys in preparation for installation of wide area networks. - Makes field visits as part of multi-code team to conduct site surveys. Meets with base and or regional telecommunications representatives to lay the ground work for telecommunications services required. - Ensures site survey information and documentation is provided to various teams after returning from site survey. - Conducts site certification inspections either personally or through responsible store personnel or Field Support Technicians to ensure and verify that all regional infrastructure is in place before installation teams arrive. - Interfaces directly with wiring vendors to provide guidance and resolve problems. Constantly follows-up with vendors and Code B facilities to ensure wiring is completed according to specs and within designated time frames. - Coordinates with NEX PWC facilities personnel to ensure power and carpentry work shelves plywood backboards for network equipment are installed within designated time frames. - Acts as liaison to other NEXCOM functional codes and store level managers to ensure information systems requirements are addressed during project planning and execution. - Provides central point to manage project equipment purchases and logistics tracking. - Conducts biweekly project update planning meetings and provides detailed project plans in Microsoft project format. - Responsible for IT asset management reporting and recording all IT assets for all completed IT projects. - Other duties as assigned. This position is designated IT-3 Non-Sensitive in accordance with SECNAV M-5510.30 and will require a favorable National Agency Check and Inquiries NACI .Qualified candidates must be U.S. Citizens. GENERAL EXPERIENCE: 3 years experience in IT technical work which demonstrated the ability and aptitudes required to perform technical, or analytical work, and coordination involving executing, follow-up, and tracking IT project related tasks based on a specified time-line, tracked with project management applications, to include Information systems, Wide Area Network, Local Area Network, and Telecommunications technologies, as well as familiarity with asset management.

SUBSTITUTION OF EXPERIENCE FOR EDUCATION: One year of related academic study above the high school level may be substituted for 9 months of experience up to a maximum of a 4 year bachelor's degree in a business/information systems discipline for 3 years of general experience.

AND

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in the following: >Technical support experience in one or more of the following areas, Point-of-Sale, Electronic Messaging, desktop/laptop, printers, Applications, (Retail, Financial, Distribution/Logistics and Human Resources), Wide Area Networking (design, implementation, troubleshooting, supporting), RF networking, Local Area Network support, cable plant management, Telecommunications. >Working in an environment where resource scheduling is required and demonstrated. >Working in an environment where asset management is required and demonstrated >Utilizing automated tools for project management, tracking. >Utilizing automated tools for asset management, tracking. >Working in an environment where PC literacy is required and demonstrated. This position is designated IT-3 (Non-Sensitive) in accordance with SECNAV M-5510.30 and will require a favorable National Agency Check and Inquiries (NACI).
