Software Development Manager Job Description

We are hiring a Software Development Manager to join o ur Norfolk, VA office and has the opportunity for hybrid work with up to two days remote per week. Four day work weeks are also an option for those applicants that are interested.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead a team of software developers in building advanced applications and platforms
Develop your teams' skills and careers
Take complete ownership of product launch activities and coordinate closely with DevOps to monitor application performance and availability.
Continually evaluate emerging technologies to identify opportunities, trends, and best practices that can be leveraged to strength CoStar's technology platform and develop practices

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree
7+ years of relevant work experience
3+ years' experience in web and database technologies
3+ years' experience building large distributed, API-driven systems
Strong understanding of OOP and software design patterns
Experience leading technical teams, working through complex requirements and offering relevant, timely technical solutions

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, React and Vue is desired
Commercial Real Estate knowledge is a bonus
Experience with non-relational databases such as MongoDB or ElasticSearch
Experience with relational databases (preferably SQL Server)
Experience with Docker and container orchestration
