We are currently hiring for the following positions:
MAINTENANCE FOREMAN AND CREW MEMBERS
LANDSCAPE FOREMAN AND CREW MEMBERS
LICENSED TURF AND ORNAMENTAL TECHNICIANS
BENEFITS:
Full-time, paid weekly by direct deposit. Employees automatically receive 3 paid days off per year. After 1 year of employment, you will also receive 1 week paid vacation and 2 weeks paid vacation after 3 years of continuous employment, paid holidays, a $50 boot allowance per year, company provided uniforms, a SIMPLE IRA retirement benefit plan after 1 year of employment, as well as the opportunity to EARN AT LEAST 4 PAY RAISES PER YEAR We have FUN-FILLED COMPANY EVENTS and a refrigerator that is stocked with REFRESHMENTS AND SNACKS available to all employees
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Meet physical demands of the job, including working in extreme weather conditions such as extreme heat, and cold as well as rain
Be dependable, and consistently at work and on time, and commits to required hours on the job
Able and willing to learn all aspects of lawn maintenance
Able and willing to learn all aspects of landscape installation including but not limited to mulch and flower installation, tree and shrub installation, drainage solutions, irrigation, landscape lighting, hardscapes, and water features
Crew Foreman must also have
A Valid drivers license and clean driving record
Experience in driving truck and trailer combos
A Register Tech spray license or be able to obtain a Registered Tech spray license within 60 days of employment
Ability to lead and train others
TYPICAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Make a positive impact on a customers landscapes to help attract and retain customers as well as provide a safe outdoor environment for customers and employees
Operate fun power equipment such as mowers, tractors, twin-axle vehicles, chainsaws, clippers, sod cutters, and pruning saws
Use tools such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, saws, hedge and brush trimmers
Mow and edge lawns, using power mowers and edgers
Prune and trim trees, shrubs, and hedges, using shears, pruners, or chainsaws
Blow debris from driveways, walkways and parking lots
Care for established lawns by mulching, aerating, weeding, grubbing and removing thatch, and trimming and edging around flower beds and walkways to make landscapes look extra polished
Trim and remove dead plant material and remove weeds from beds
Check irrigation to adjust the amount of water consumption and to prevent waste
Collect and remove waste and other debris from job sites and help keep our environment clean
Follow landscape designs to determine where to lay sod, or plant flowers and foliage
Plant seeds, bulbs, foliage, flowering plants, grass, ground covers, trees, and shrubs, and apply mulch, using appropriate tools
Haul and/or spread topsoil
Maintain, clean, and repair tools and equipment
Mix and spray or spread fertilizers, herbicides, or insecticides onto grass, shrubs, and trees, using hand or automatic sprayers or spreaders
