Position Overview

We are seeking a Plant Engineer to oversee and optimize all aspects of plant systems, utilities, and production equipment. This role is hands-on and central to our continued expansion, ensuring our lines run at peak performance and that all mechanical, electrical, and process systems meet production, safety, and quality goals.

Key Responsibilities

Lead installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of canning, packaging, and processing equipment

Support commissioning of new lines and facility upgrades (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems)

Develop and manage preventive maintenance schedules

Partner with Production, Quality, and Operations teams to improve line efficiency and reduce downtime

Oversee facility infrastructure, including air, water, refrigeration, and waste systems

Maintain compliance with safety, sanitation, and SQF certification standards

Source and manage relationships with contractors and equipment vendors

Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives across the plant

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field) preferred, or equivalent experience

5+ years of experience in beverage, food, or packaging plant engineering

Strong understanding of process control systems, PLCs, and automated equipment

Proven track record in preventive maintenance and reliability programs

Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills

Hands-on approach and ability to thrive in a fast-paced production environment
