A nation construction firm providing cutting-edge, innovative design and top-quality general contracting seeks an Assistant Project Manager / Site Superintendent. The ideal candidate will have the ability and experience to plan, coordinate and supervise work in a safe, quality and cost-effective manner. The position is located in Virginia Beach, VA.
Daily tasks will include but are not limited to: Ensure all work is performed according to specifications and clients requirements, Supervise and coordinate labor, subcontractors and vendors on site, Day-to-day coordination with Clients representative, Conduct safety inspections and account for site safety, Create work schedules, Maintain quality control procedures, Prepare site reports, designs and drawings and Monitor inventory and materials. We seek candidates who are positive and motivated, eager to collaborate with colleagues, skilled at giving and receiving feedback, and open to travel.
Software Skills:
Basic computer skills
Ability to perform internet research
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum 5-7+ years' experience in construction, preferably in healthcare.
Minimum 3+ years experience in site management.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Outstanding problem solving and decision-making ability.
Competent knowledge of building methods and regulations.
