Deployed Support Specialist - Mid (Secret Clearance)
Location: This position can be located in Quantico, VA. Program Overview : Zachary Piper Solutions is building an experienced workforce of IT professionals to assist the DON with facilitating an enterprise-wide capability for effective and integrated operations, oversight, responsibility, and accountability. The Department of the Navy (DON) operates one of the largest combined networks in the world comprising U.S. Marine Corp and DON global networks to include the Navy Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI), the Marine Corps Enterprise Network (MCEN), and ONE-Net. This important work will provide secure end-to-end information technology (IT) services to more than 400,000 hardware devices and 800,000 users in the U.S. and abroad. The Zachary Piper Solutions team will deliver seamless, secure, and scalable solutions designed to help our military leaders stay ahead of threats and achieve their missions through: • Transport Services to include BAN/LAN/WLAN, WAN, Communities of Interest (COI), and Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) • Network Operations to include Data Center Services, Service Continuity, Service Operations Information Security, Account & Directory Services, Authorization and Authentication Services, and Tools and Data Management • IT Service Management to include Asset, Change, Configuration, Performance, and Service Catalog Management • User Support Services to include Electronic Classroom, End User Core Build, Electronic Software Delivery, Service Desk, and Seat Support Position Description: • Provide network technical advice and assistance during the planning phase of a deployment or exercise and coordinate swift solutions to networking problems during the execution phase. • Provide direct computer and network support to include router, firewall, Intrusion Detection Systems/Intrusion Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS), Domain Name System (DNS), Active Directory (AD) and Exchange, configuration, installation, maintenance and troubleshooting to USMC deployed units. • Assist in the development and execution of Information Assurance (IA) training for deployed units. • Provide direct support to the D-30 process. • Support operational requirements for the operational environment; identify required Hardware (HW) and Software (SW); submit personnel foreign country clearance requests and obtain necessary visas; document the result of the deployment in a Government-provided template with input and conduct a post-deployment review with the Government; coordinate return of any unused and reusable equipment to stock; coordinate the transportation of all HW and SW required to support contingency operations and obtain all import permits. • Experience providing deployed support. Technical Requirements (MUST haves, needs not wants) 1. 4+ Years of IT Experience2. Experience Providing Technical Support of IT Network Devices, Hardware, and/or Software3. IAT Level III Certificate a. Qualifying certificates: CASP+ CE, CCNP-Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, GCIH, CCSP 4. Preferred : OEM Certification such as Cisco/Microsoft5.
