Data Systems Analysts, Inc. (DSA) is seeking a customer focused Oracle DBA to join our team in Radford, VA, to provide support to the Army and to begin an exciting career within DSA. The Oracle DBA will support the Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Enterprise Systems and Services (ALTESS) center. The ALTESS mission is to provide full life-cycle information technology solutions, support, and services to customers in secure environments. The Oracle DBA will be responsible for the design, installation, configuration, administration, patching, upgrades, tuning, backup and recovery, and troubleshooting with the Oracle Enterprise Database in a UNIX environment on physical and virtual servers.Position Requirements 2 POSITIONS 1- Senior and 1- Intermediate 1-Senior: Masters 10+ years IT experience, or Bachelors 12+ years experience1-Intermediate: Bachelors 5+ years experience or Associates 7+ years experienceAverage 40 hours per week with a blend of onsite and telework. Currently, onsite work is required 2 days a week, and telework is 3 days a week.Certifications CompTIA Security+Computing Environment (CE) Certification (i.e., MCSE, Server+, etc.) can be waived for 90 days after project join dateRequired Skills
- Five or more years of experience (including design, installation, configuration, administration, patching, upgrades, tuning, backup and recovery, and troubleshooting) with the Oracle Enterprise Database in a UNIX environment on physical and virtual servers; similar skills are required for MySQL and EDB/PostgreSQL
- Oracle 12c, 19c including Multitenant, RAC, DataGuard, Grid Infrastructure, Oracle Automatic Storage Management (ASM) and Oracle Automatic Storage Management Cluster File System (ACFS)
- Strong backup and recovery experience using Oracle Recovery Manager (RMAN) with Veritas NetBackup
- Strong security experience including data-at-rest, over-the-wire encryption using pkcs12 containers, and transparent data encryption (TDE) for Oracle and MySQL
- Strong performance tuning experience for both transactional and analytical workloads
- Strong troubleshooting experience utilizing database and operating system capabilities
- Strong shell scripting experience in PL/SQL
- Strong system administrative experience
- Strong documentation skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Participates in a 24x7 on-call support rotation
- Databases: Oracle 12c, Oracle 19c, MySQL 5.7, PostgreSQL 13.5

- Working knowledge of DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) and Security Requirements Guides (SRG)
- MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE DOD SECRET Clearance; this will be verified prior to interview. Therefore, s can be considered for this position.
