Data Engineer

Position Description You will be working as a Data Engineer on a multiyear, cloud-based Data Modernization project for our federal government client. You'll work on a modern technical platform to help our client curate, ingest, transform and visualize their data in a cloud based data warehouse. You will contribute to project deliverables using tools such as Snowflake, TopQuadrant EDG and Azure Data Factory.

Your future duties and responsibilities - Build clean data sets, transforming and modeling data in a way that empowers end users to answer their own questions- Contribute to data governance and metadata management approach and implementation- Support implementation of cloud data platform and cloud related architectures (Snowflake, Azure)- Participate in Agile development cycles- Thought leadership, strategy and direction for work streams within the program

Required qualifications to be successful in this role - 5+ years of experience in data warehousing- Minimum 3+ years' experience as an Engineer- Minimum 1+ years of experience working in Cloud platforms- Experience with design, build and operationalization of large scale enterprise data solutions using one or more of Azure data and analytics services in combination with 3rd party tools- Experience with design and implementation of data engineering, ingestion and curation functions on Azure, using Azure native or custom programming- Experience with data cleansing, profiling, and domain-specific data quality assessment- Experience integrating new cloud data solutions with existing/third party IT systems- Knowledge of migration, dev/ops, ETL/ELT, and BI required- Hands on experience on Agile practices, Scrum process, or Kanban methodology. - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written- Experience working in a fast paced environment. Candidate must be adaptable and nimble in their approach

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS- Experience using Snowflake.- Experience working with financial management systems- Experience creating and integrating analytics sandboxes- Microsoft Power BI experience

Est. Salary/Hourly Range (Colorado Only): $59,000 - 130,000
