KEY JOB FUNCTIONSDesign, structure, and maintain one or more Aurora PostgreSQL discrete databases used by Client Connect or Housing Data Exchange. Test, quality control, and performance tune data to ensure its integrity and reliability. Confer with business unit and technical staff regarding the extracting of data for reports or application components. Monitor or accomplish the migration of historical data in Netezza and Oracle to Aurora PostgreSQL and the DB performance of refreshing of data.Tune reporting queries and data stores to maximize the performance of operational and analytics reports being migrated to Aurora PostgreSQL.Create optimized SQL to pull data insights for Angular front endConfer with application development staff or project management staff regarding project planning, resource allocation, task definitions and schedules for substantial projects involving database(s).Plan and design database changes necessary for data conversion, tool configuration, data refresh or migration or other initiatives related to large application development project.Troubleshoot or confer with others troubleshooting errors or production problems involving databases to determine causes and proposed solutions.Document the application data model in enterprise modeling tools and record use of databases with objectives of data integrity, data security, efficient operation, audit requirements, and the like.Document the application dataset in accordance with enterprise data governance standardsCommunicate to others in development or database administration roles.Required Knowledge and SkillsRelational and dimensional data modeling skills.Database design and implementation in AWS Aurora PostgreSQLPerformance tuning techniques in an AWS Aurora PostgreSQLDevOps tool: FlywayYears of experience: 5min years of experienceDesired Knowledge and skillsExperience using data modeling tools like ER Studio or ERWinExperience working with the AWS Glue Meta storeExperience with S3 and file storage designs such as Parquet, Avro, CSV, etc.Experience working with JSON file formats
