Full Stack Developer to

work remotely on a government contract for a client located in

Arlington, VA. Candidates must be able to pass a background investigation for a Public Trust level clearance. US Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical knowledge and analysis of highly specialized applications and operational environment.
  • Provide a high-level functional systems analysis, design, integration, documentation, and implementation advice on moderately complex problems that require an appropriate level of knowledge of the subject matter for effective implementation.
  • The position will support multiple projects across the contract, mostly related to wildland fire analysis and prevention.
  • This role will take the lead on developing and steering projects.
  • You'll have a lot of independence and work directly with customers to fix bugs and develop new features.
  • The application team is relatively small, which means working mostly solo and taking on some roles a project manager would handle.
  • Work with customers to develop new features and identify bugs in existing web applications.
  • Fix bugs in web applications, mostly using C# and Angular.
  • Develop back end RESTful services (C# .NET WebApi).
  • Create responsive front-end UI, adhering to high user accessibility standards.
  • Integrate security standards at all levels of development.
  • Write technical and user documentation.
  • Deploy code to test and production servers .

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Work Authorization: US Citizenship is required.
  • Candidates must be able to pass a background investigation for a Public Trust level clearance.
  • A Bachelors degree is required.
  • 5+ years of experience in .Net programming - C#, ASP .Net, MVC, Entity Framework.
  • 5+ years of experience in JavaScript and common JS libraries e.g., Angular.
  • Familiarity with RDBMS platforms such as SQL Server, Oracle.
  • Experience in Software Development & Project Tools such as Git and Jira.
  • Strong Analytical and Communication Skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing environments and priorities.
  • Experience with Atlassian tools for project management, issue tracking.
  • Strong communication, organization, and task prioritization skills are needed.
  • Most of your time will be coding in JavaScript and C# with basic HTML and CSS skills required as well.
  • Knowledge of GIS is a plus.
  • Desire to dive into statistics/ algorithms is required and familiarity with geographic information systems is a plus.
