August 24, 2022 Senior Software Engineer (API)
Per Executive Order 14042, new or prospective Comscore, Inc. employees in the United States, must provide proof of complete vaccination, or approved exemption on the first day of their employment. Builds APIs to support complex, large-scale client applications and large distributed systems that collect, aggregate, transform and distribute data for further analysis. More senior roles design, coordinate and implement product development initiatives, provide strategic leadership, and ensure the designs and development of world-class system capability. May serve as technical consultant to other teams.Key Activities:- Autonomously initiates, designs, manages entire projects (small to medium sized)
- Develops high-performance fault-tolerant code
- Formulates project plan and allocates work as appropriate
- Works with cross-functional teams to implement QA methods; troubleshoots and solves coding problems
- Manages resources
- Owns an area of the application; serves as architect of assigned area, makes technical decisions and chooses approach; answers questions for designated area
- 3-7 years experience developing APIs with Java (ideally Spring and Hibernate)
- 1-2 years experience managing projects
- 1-2 years experience with Comscore's offerings and research methods, and/or comparable experience in market research / Ad Tech
- Problem solving abilities
- Strong analytical bend, able dive into the data, analyze large data sets; recognize patterns
- Commitment to developing robust systems, realized through code and testing quality
- Ability to influence and impact others
