Description SAIC has an opening for a Sensor Solution Architect (as needed) to support the National Security and Space Sector (NSSS), a fast-growing, dynamic $2.7B line organization in the DC Metro area. In this role, you will leverage domain expertise to develop a comprehensive understanding of customer requirements and lead the development of technical solutions meeting all mission requirements for ISR, missile warning, missile defense, earth science, and other missions. Duties include:
  • Assess technical concepts for applicability to current and future mission gaps
  • Support white paper, proposal, and related marketing efforts
  • Provide analytic support to internal IRAD and solutioning processes
  • Support meetings with sensor, satellite/airborne platform, and ground processing/dissemination vendors
  • Help develop SAIC unique solutions to key customer missions
  • Analyze threat data and assess capabilities of US systems against emerging threats
  • Write and review technical proposals and associated Basis of Estimates (BOEs)
  • Support meetings with customers on SAIC's capabilities, services and solutions for capture efforts
  • Provide solution-related technical support after award, as needed
  • Apply and/or develop highly advanced principles, theories and concepts; viewed as an expert in the field.
  • Participate with senior management to establish strategic plans and objectives
  • Serve as consultant to top management in long-range goals and objectives, company policies, programs and capabilities
Qualifications
  • Bachelors and 20+ years or more of related experience; Masters and sixteen (16) years or more experience; PhD or JD and eight years(8) or more experience. Additional qualifications:
  • Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance
  • Demonstrated expertise providing innovative solutions in any of the following: Sensors (Radar, EO/IR, etc) and Space/Airborne systems architectures, plus demonstrated excellence in related disciplines of systems engineering, software engineering, data science, and AI/ML concepts
  • Extensive technical experience creating and evaluating technical concepts and proposals
  • Previous experience supporting DoD or the Intelligence community
  • Experience developing solutions that exhibit high levels of performance, security, scalability, maintainability, and appropriate reusability and reliability upon deployment
