Overview

We are seeking a talented

AWS Architect to support our project that enables US leadership to stay informed on world-wide events. The

AWS Architect will provide thought leadership on a consultative basis to the sponsoring agency and to multiple vendors architecting various automated services that reduce repetitive processes by end-users through integration of industry-standard and custom technologies furthering the use of AI and ML systems.

Additional Information:
  • Location: On client site in Reston, VA
  • Salary: Dependent upon experience
  • Security Clearance: Full-scope poly from Intelligence agency (CIA or NSA)
  • Available: ASAP

Responsibilities

  • Software architecture across multiple applications owned by multiple vendors in the AWS cloud environment
  • Conceptualizing use cases for automation including AI and ML
  • Experience with Architecting Complex Video Management Cloud Applications
  • Knowledge and understanding of AWS Elemental services and workloads
  • Design of high-level roadmaps and developing Level-of-Effort estimations
  • Create and deliver strategy briefings for client leadership
  • Coordination of planning across teams and divisions
  • Work closely with Product Owners, Developers, and external development teams to design a high performing, scalable, cloud based infrastructure

Qualifications

  • Understanding of intelligence community security standards
  • Experience with Linux and AWS environments (including serverless)
  • Experience with IaaS; implementing scalable cloud-based environments and systems; service-oriented architectures and microservices; deploying resilient, scalable, high-throughput systems that process large amounts of data Have effective verbal and non-verbal communication with peers and clients
  • Ability to work in an open team environment

Education Requirements/Years of Experience
  • Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, or related, masters desirable
  • 6+ years software development experience working on related IT/development projects
  • Demonstrated experience with secure development, coding, engineering practices
  • 3+ years as software architect

Desired Certifications
  • AWS Cloud Architect certification or equivalent experience
