Job Description:Job Description:The ideal candidate possesses technical depth in Commercial clouds as well as on premise private compute and store services delivered as a Managed Service or as a Service.In this role, you will help customers solve their more demanding challenges via technology, modernization, and transformation processes, and proven methods and solutions. As part of a creative, forward-thinking team, you will help shape solutions to make the world safer, healthier, and more efficient. As a Solution Architect, you will work hand-in-hand with business development, research and development, and other subject matter experts to develop optimal and differentiated Leidos solutions to be delivered on programs, in proposals, or on research and development projects. In addition to developing solutions, you will help prospective customers and partners understand the value and benefits of the Leidos solution, explain technical features and transformation strategies, engage in proof of concepts, and troubleshoot potential problems.Primary Responsibilities:In coordination with program teams and Office of Technology (OOT) leadership, identify technology and solution roadmaps to improve enterprise IT capabilities resulting in increased contract growth and improved customer satisfaction.Develop and lead architecture definition of Cloud Computing solutions (CSP, Private Cloud, SaaS) addressing the full lifecycle from early CONOPS, requirements development, technical planning, system integration, analysis of alternatives, verification and validation, design, build, cost , deploy, through sustainment.As a cloud architect, you your technical duties include infrastructure design, planning, management, maintenance and support associated with cloud computing. You will be working with Cloud Engineers to perform and manage cloud solution, cloud computing strategy and all associated documentation. Work can be performed in support of obtaining new business and on-program leadership, particularly in the start-up of new work as a key personnel.Establish Leidos best practices, lessons learned, and technological approaches related to digital modernization and transformation technologies with emphasis on application of evolving Network technologies and approach to integrate into existing customer enterprises.Strengthen existing programs and with application of technology and/or innovation by working with peer Operations teams, Group CTOs, and other Leidos Groups and by leveraging known technology and solutions on current programs and new business pursuits.Assess and mentor the technical talent and solution architects in the organization to meet the current and future (new market) business challenges.Partner with the Business Development team in supporting the shaping and development of technical solutions, basis of estimates, and industry relationships via responses to RFPs, new business reviews, white papers, customer shaping calls, and Leidos' corporate Win Plan process for larger franchise opportunities and to understand and participate in the development of new business strategy assessing current and future skills and technology needs.Basic Qualifications:Master's degree in technical disciplines with 15+ years of experience related to IT and/or systems engineering. Additional years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of Master's degree.Strong technical breadth and depth in support of the government markets and in particular in DoD Compute and Storage solution design, implementation, operations, and modernization with associated cyber network defense solutions.Demonstrated Azure and/or AWS infrastructure architect experience at expert level.Demonstrated experience with private cloud compute and store technology and familiarity with on premise or traditional compute and store technology.Familiarity with cloud SaaS architecture and understanding of its principles and best practicesDemonstrated experience in designing, deploying, and maintenance of production applications in Azure and / or AWS cloud.Demonstrated experience with application migrations to Commercial and Private Cloud environmentsFamiliar with SecDevOps and CI/CD pipelinesExperienced professional in contract performance with demonstrated technical leadership and customer relationship buildingCapable of generating on-contract-growth through insertion of innovation and technology on existing programs.Deep industry awareness with leading capabilities providers to enhance our solutions offerings and close gaps in offerings yielding competitive technical solutions.Experience supporting technical volumes and developing labor and material estimatesUnderstands competitor/teammate technology offeringsAbility to assess, identify, recruit and retain talent to grow technical expertiseAbility to author, present, and articulate problem sets and associated solution elements in settings supporting customers, business development, program delivery, technical teams, and executives.US citizenship is required and able to obtain security clearancePreferred Qualifications:Active security clearanceCSP Certifications (AWS, Azure)Security Certifications (CISSP a plus)Other IT certifications (cloud, Microsoft)ITIL foundations certification with Enterprise IT experience using ITILExperience with Managed Service delivery to include private cloud services.Demonstrated Azure and/or AWS infrastructure architect experience at expert level.Demonstrated experience in designing, deploying, and maintenance of production applications in Azure and / or AWS cloud.Experience as the lead solution architect and/or technical volume lead on captures and proposals valued >$300MExperience defining and leading IT Infrastructure R&D projects / portfolios and supporting the transition of technology change into programsExperience having worked successful partnerships with suppliers on proposals.External Referral Bonus:IneligibleExternal Referral Bonus $:Potential for Telework:Yes, 100%Clearance Level Required:NoneTravel:Yes, 25% of the timeScheduled Weekly Hours:40Shift:DayRequisition Category:ProfessionalJob Family:Systems EngineeringPay Range:Pay Range $136,500.00 - $210,000.00 - $283,500.00#RemoteVacancy expired!
