Job Role: - Database Developer

Location: Overland Park, KS or Reston, VA

Duration: 12+ months

Job Description: We are looking for a Senior Database Developer who has extensive experience in developing, supporting mission critical and high performant databases. The Senior Database Developer will work in an agile fast-paced DevOps environment responsible for developing and supporting database solutions. The candidate should have in-depth understanding of database technologies and strong problem solving skills to identify any performance issues and address them in a timely manner.

Minimum Required Skills / Competencies: Must have strong SQL development skills and excellent knowledge of Stored Procedures, Functions, Triggers, Views, Materialized View, Cursors, JSON and XML features and writing complex SQL queries Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2014/2016/2017/2019 and MySQL (8.0) Experience with at least 1 NoSQL databases (MongoDB is preferred) Basic knowledge on HA/DR technologies like SQL Always On, MySQL InnoDB Cluster and MongoDB Replica set Experience in Implementing data models and database designs Experience writing complex SQL scripts Design and Develop SQL Server Integration packages using SSIS or any other ETL tools Experience is using version control tools (Git) and deploying database code using CI/CD pipelines Experience in debugging production issues and performance tuning Experience with at least one scripting language Powers hell/Python/Shell is a plus Well versed in Agile development Excellent communication skills; works well in a team environment
