The Marketing Director is responsible for developing and executing all external marketing campaigns for SOSi’s offerings in support of winning new business. Reporting to the VP for Marketing & Communications, the Marketing Director will primarily align with SOSi’s Corporate Growth and Business Development function. The role includes partnering with the stakeholders of each business unit, understanding the company’s service offerings, developing marketing strategies and campaigns, and managing all marketing channels. The Marketing Director will also lead the marketing and communications presence at trade shows, conferences, and industry events.ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

Develops comprehensive marketing and communication strategies and campaigns to support the Senior Vice President (SVP) of Corporate Growth’s goals. Strategies include budgeting, content development, and channel delivery (such as website, email, press, collateral, partnerships, and events).

Reports results of strategies and campaigns to VP of Marketing & Communications, business unit leaders, and the SVP of Corporate Growth.

Works with the MarComm team to leverage existing resources in public relations (PR), e-marketing (social media and email blasts), event support, graphics development, website maintenance, newsletter creation, and distribution, etc.

Designs strategy and writes content as needed for campaigns, including press, collateral, website, intranet, and other written products.

Develops thought leadership strategiesand manages execution forspeaking engagements, social media posts, blog posts, editorials, etc. Strategy for thought leadership is driven by the priorities of the SVP of Corporate Growth, as well as business unit leaders and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).

Develops strategies and manages execution for SOSi presence at trade shows, conferences, and industry events.

Supports corporate presence with industry-organization memberships and sponsorships.

Tracks and reports on important industry news pertaining to competitors, partners, and clients.

Performs other tasks and supports other company objectives as required.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, or related field.

At least 12 years’ professional work experience in strategic communications.

Demonstrated track record of producing successful marketing campaigns across channels.

Exceptional demonstrated verbal communication, presentation, writing, and interpersonal skills.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONDESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Marketing or advertising agency experience.

Experience in non-profit development and/or management.

Graphics experience.

Experience in the aerospace, defense, and government services industry.

U.S. government security clearance.

Fluency in a foreign language.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Normal office working conditions, with possible requirement to lift and/or move objects or packages of up to 25 lbs.

Up to 10% domestic and international travel, including to austere high-threat locations such as Iraq and Afghanistan.
