This position is based in Reston, VA
As a valued colleague on our team, you will contribute to working directly to build, develop, or design functionality for a product, as well as participate in the ongoing implementation, enhancement, or maintenance of existing products.
THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKEThe Product Ownerrole will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:
- Support development of the design strategy for new products.
- Implement the process for new products.
- Identify opportunities for product improvements.
- Manage the product lifecycle and ongoing maintenance.
- Ensure product strategy is in alignment with business objectives.
- Define requirements for software enhancements by working with business, technology and policy stakeholders, and document those requirements.
- Support software development team by communicating requirements, addressing questions and providing business background for enhancements.
Qualifications
THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAMMinimum Required Experiences
- 2 years experience in a Product Owner or Product Analyst role
- Strategic mindset to guide product development and manage product roadmap
- Advance analytical and data mining skills to gather insights and prioritize product features
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills to share the product vision with stakeholders and convert it into reality
- Strong business and technical acumen to identify opportunities for improvement and collaborate with a wide array of stakeholders
Desired Experiences
- Bachelor degree or equivalent
- Skilled in SQL
- Skilled in the graphical representation of information in the form of a charts, diagrams, pictures, and dashboards with programs and tools such as Excel, Tableau, or Power BI
- Experience using JIRA
- Experience in the Customer Identity and Access Management domain
Skills
- The group of skills related to Product Development including designing products, developing product roadmaps, translating design requirements, prototyping, etc.
- The group of skills related to Risk Assessment and Management including evaluating and designing controls, conducting impact assessments, identifying control gaps, remediating risk, etc.
- The group of skills related to Product Management including managing demand, releases, and backlog
- Working with people with different functional expertise respectfully and cooperatively to work toward a common goal
- Ability to frame ideas as systems and analyzing the inputs, outputs, and process
- The group of skills related to Influencing including negotiating, persuading others, facilitating meetings, and resolving conflict
- Experience gathering accurate information to explain concepts and answer critical questions
