Your Career

As a Professional Services Consultant, you’ll get into the details of our platform. You will push the buttons, flip the levers, turn the knobs. You do not shy away from difficult challenges as it relates to cybersecurity, implementations, and integrations. You are the technical authority and will interact directly with our customers to help them secure their digital environments. The customers are counting on you to perform this work and train their staff. And while experience on the company’s platform is desired, even more important is having a solid foundation in networking and security technologies.

In fact, extensive experience with a competitor’s technology can play to your advantage. Many of the opportunities involve a client migrating to our platform for the first time, so understanding the nuances of that technology will enable you to be a better Palo Alto Networks consultant. And don't worry, we will send you to our Professional Services Academy to prepare you for the role, so you are experienced with our suite of services and products before you first meet the customer.

Your Impact

  • Lead customer engagements around Prisma Cloud including deployments, configuration, and troubleshooting
  • Consult and guide customers on security standard best practices as it relates to Public and Private Clouds
  • Maintain the implemented solution and provide mentorship on code upgrades, changes to the platform, and new technology developments
  • Mitigate web-based threats in a timely manner
  • Work proactively with our Technical Assistance Center to troubleshoot and diagnose cases as escalations arise
  • Work with sales account team to help formulate a technical strategy to address customer business needs
  • Support direct manager in managing business needs through weekly reports and Quarterly Business Reviews
  • Engage with the account team to allow them to clearly understand the customer business & technical requirements as you learn through active engagement with the clients in Cloud technologies.

Qualifications

Your Experience

  • Practical experience with Public Cloud platforms, preferably Azure, Google Cloud, and AWS
  • Expertise with container orchestration services, preferably Kubernetes and Docker
  • Experience with CloudFormation, Terraform, Azure Resource Manager, or GCP Cloud Deployment Manager Templates
  • Experience with CI/CD tools, e.g. Kubernetes, Jenkins, Docker, Gitlab, Chef, Ansible, or OpenShift
  • Basic understanding of Unix/Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Experience with APIs
  • Ability to deliver complex solutions in large customer environments individually or as a team leader
  • Experience in customer-facing roles
  • Team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, and to prioritize tasks accordingly
  • Flexibility for travel up to 25%
  • BA/BS Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or related practical experience.
  • Supporting Federal customer, clearance may be required
  • Preferred (nice to have) QualificationsExperience working with Palo Alto Networks container or VM-Series TechnologiesExperience working with Prisma Cloud Compute and Prisma Cloud Enterprise (Also known as Redlock/Twistlock) and/or Prisma SaaSScripting skills - Python & Bash scripting.Experience with Splunk/Regex.
