Description Job Description:More About the Role:Responsible for technical planning, system hardware-software design, development and integration, verification and validation, and fielding. Evaluates alternatives including supportability and analyses for total systems. Duties include performing systems requirements analysis, functional analysis, timeline analysis, trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition, software packaging, integration, system testing, and quality assurance.What You'll Get to Do:This person will serve as a senior member of the core build/enterprise software delivery service team transitioning the SMIT program from older software delivery system to MECM.This person will be considered an expert in the packaging and deployment of MECM software applications as well as Windows images.

As a part of the EUS engineering team, this person will participate in BOE development for MECM follow on project work.

Will serve as a lead to specific areas of a MECM project, providing management with status updates and tracking specific project tasks through to completion

Responsible for tasks in project scope completing on schedule and with minimal rework.

Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) Engineer will assist with the creation, testing, and deployment of applications and controls to support business initiatives.

This candidate will work with partner peers and our customer team members to deliver solutions and controls.

Other responsibilities extend to identifying problems and errors, incident management, documentation, reporting and dashboarding, and EUT projects.

A proven understanding of end user technology and End User Experience in an enterprise environment is crucial.

Adhere to roadmaps and standards for Core Applications.

The successful candidate must be able to work in unsupervised situations, provide excellent customer service, and be extremely detailed and highly motivated.

Application delivery via Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager.

Plans, designs, installs, and quality assures all upgrades to applications and/or systems within the responsibility of the team.

Hands-on involvement with packaging and deployment of applications and configuring task sequences.

Creating reports and queries within MECM.

Windows OS and application patching.

Maintain DoD standards for endpoints.

Knowledge creation and maintenance.

Project lifecycle management and project status reporting.

Understanding of security and compliance controls to meet the Navy’s needs.

Analyze and identify trends in reported issues and devise preventative solutions.

Participate in cross-team projects.

Other tasks and projects assigned by the manager.

You'll Bring These Qualifications:Requires B.S. Degree and 8-12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6-10 years of prior relevant experience.Requires expert knowledge of and ability to apply advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts.Prior experience in software packaging and image creation in an MECM environmentResults orientated and schedule driven.Experience translating vague requirements into a functional design.Experience working as an active member of a remote team.Understanding and application of customer expectations.Ability to learn and contribute to proprietary tool sets.Demonstrated ability to interact with all levels of senior management, customer contacts and other groups within the SMIT program.IAT Level II.These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:Extensive experience with standard scripting languages and techniques (VBS, PowerShell)Knowledge and understanding of Microsoft client operating systems including Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10 and their use in global enterprise environments.Experience with Microsoft Office and other enterprise applications, including ownership, support and management in multi-language environments.Experience with and knowledge of AD design and GPO management.Understanding of application packaging and deployment technologies used in corporate environments including Windows Installer.Exemplary communication, analytical skills, and technical knowledge across the client environment.Ability to produce concise and clear technical documentation.Knowledge of advanced programming languages (.Net, C, etc.)Good understanding and implementation of Java Script.Pay Range:Pay Range $94,250.00 - $145,000.00 - $195,750.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
