As an

UX Designer, you will work on transforming the Pension administration software application to provide an elegant user experience.

We are looking for an experienced User Experience (UX) Designer who can understand our business requirements and technical limitations. You will be expected to design the overall functionality of the product, to ensure a great user experience.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Design and deliver wireframes, user journeys, and mockups optimized for a range of devices
  • Make strategic design and user-experience decisions related to core, and new, functions and features
  • Receptive to feedback and able to rapidly iterate, concept, and prototype solutions
  • Plan and execute simple, intuitive, and effective flows and experiences
  • Collaborate closely with project managers and stakeholders.
  • Be an advocate for Design Thinking, UX and the user centered approach.

Location and Travel Details

This is a remote position with occasional travel once COVID restrictions are lifted.

Profile of Success

  • Work remotely with project manager and stakeholders, while maintaining clear communications and meeting work expectations.
  • Communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions clearly and effectively.
  • Create wireframes and mockups and present them to internal stakeholders and team members.
  • Experience in using UX design best practices to design solutions, and a deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design is a must.
  • A solid grasp of user-centered design (UCD), planning and conducting user research, user testing, rapid prototyping, usability, and accessibility concerns is a must.
  • Strong experience in design software - Figma preferred
  • Experience with Bootstrap 4 and 5 is required.
  • Understanding of WCAG 2.1 web and mobile accessibility guidelines and standards is required. A passion in creating software that can be used by all.
  • This is not a coding role. A conceptual understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is desired.
  • Demonstrating a strong understanding of UI and interaction design principles, use of typography, color and page layouts, and attention to detail is necessary.
  • Over five years of experience with user experience design of both web and mobile applications.
