A DAY IN THE LIFE:The Business Analyst will define requirements and configure Excelacom’s Century product suite. They will learn the telecom industry and apply their knowledge to setting business applications on our proprietary platform without any coding required.The Business Analyst will arrive in the office with goals in mind of what they expect to accomplish that day. They may spend about 50% of their time with offshore R&D team members to understand product requirements so they can configure applications based on internal or client needs. The remainder of their time, the Business Analyst will be performing original review, analyzing spreadsheets of data and traceability patterns, analyzing or writing documentation and working out the optimum way to define and solve a particular need, requirement or process.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • The Business Analyst will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and creating comprehensive work products documenting requirements, including validation and traceability, for existing and new applications supporting various business channels.
  • Configures Excelacom applications based on requirements.
  • Creates user guides and documentation to help others configure applications on their own.
  • Provides demos and training sessions for colleagues and clients.
  • Performs analysis to identify/verify application issues, provides solutions and coordinates with product team for quick resolutions of issues.
  • Provides application and process subject matter expertise for business partners and IT technical resources
  • Contributes to presales activities to assist teams with configuring products and providing demos to clients.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree required. MIS or related degree preferred
  • 1-2 years’ experience with a software firm or business analyst
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to interact cross-functionally with geographically disperse teams
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team-based environment
