Description SAIC has an immediate opening for a highly motived and technically oriented Systems Engineer to support a critical customer project at the leading edge of technology. The position requires an ability to learn about technology quickly, communicate technical information to non-technical audiences, and work tactfully and collaboratively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to achieve mission outcomes. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision is required. Qualifications
  • Must currently hold a TS/SCI & Poly
  • Demonstrated ability and success working with atypical organizational relationships
  • Demonstrated exceptional performance working cross-cutting business areas
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills working sensitive topics and influencing outcomes
  • Experience providing technical support to monthly reviews and technical exchange meetings, and making recommendations on future courses of action
  • Ability to communicate technical and complex information in terms that are applicable and understandable at multiple knowledge levels to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to think and execute strategically to identify cross-cutting enablement opportunities (e.g. building blocks) traceable back to a mission need
  • Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with senior customer managers
  • Experience with technical program management
  • Ability to review designs and testing approaches and provide recommendations to improve them
  • Exceptional organizational skills and initiative to follow through on actions and document important information and decisions
  • Direct experience or practical working knowledge of commercial best practices for program management, design, development, production and test, with a focus on the practical application of lean and agile methodologies
  • Experience working collaboratively across customer teams to ensure de-confliction across various frameworks
  • Monthly travel within the US to support technical exchange and programmatic meetings
