The company responsible for maintaining and developing internet infrastructure is currently looking to add a Mid to Senior Level C Software Engineer at their office in Reston, VA. This internet company is committed to keeping the internet stable, safe, and reliable to prevent the consequences of a web blackout. You will be primarily responsible for designing and implementing new features for network services products. This person will have the opportunity to work on and develop software applications using C, Linux, and Agile. The right person will also have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Required Skills & Experience- Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent work experience
- 8+ years of relevant work experience in software development
- 3+ years of experience working with C or similar high-level programming language
- Experience writing software and related test code
- Comfortable working on Agile delivery teams
- Proficient with Linux
- Problem solving skills
- Team player

- DNS, Whois, Internet protocols
- Acting as a scrum master or technical lead
- Leadership and management skills
- Familiarity with delivering via continuous integration and continuous delivery systems
